Job summary

Up Top Group in San Francisco is seeking a Head of Talent to recruit exceptional engineers, product leaders, and GTM experts while maintaining a very high hiring bar. You will own the full talent function from role definition to onboarding.

The role emphasizes lean growth, thoughtful evaluation beyond résumés, and building scalable processes. You will partner with founders and team leads to define requirements and interview criteria in a fast-moving startup context.

Qualifications

• Experience hiring engineering, product, and GTM talent.
• Ability to evaluate portfolios and nontraditional evidence beyond résumés.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts credibly.
• Excellent organization across multiple roles and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruiting across technical and GTM roles.
• Build and optimize recruiting operations and tooling; automate workflows for speed and quality.
• Partner with founders and team leads to define role requirements and interview processes.
• Develop product depth to credibly pitch highly technical candidates.
• Source exceptional people through high-signal channels.
• Assess technical competence, product intuition, and talent quality.
• Support onboarding and new-hire ramp.
• Help design performance reviews, leveling, and feedback systems.
