Job summary

NewsBreak in Mountain View, CA, seeks a Head of Talent to lead our end-to-end recruiting and talent strategy. You will hire, coach, and scale a team of Talent Partners and recruiters while partnering with the CEO and executive team on org design and workforce planning.

You will own senior searches, shape interview processes for leadership roles, and build a strong employer brand that competes in Silicon Valley. Experience with AI/ML recruiting and cross-border pipelines is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition/recruiting and 4+ years leading a recruiting team in a high-growth tech environment.
• Proven track record recruiting for technical orgs (engineering, AI/ML, product) at scale.
• Strategic partner to founders/C-suite with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end talent acquisition strategy aligned with growth plans across engineering, AI/ML, product, and G&A.
• Lead and mentor the talent acquisition team, coaching recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators as the team scales.
• Direct full-cycle searches for senior/confidential roles (VP+), defining role scopes and interview processes.
• Build and protect NewsBreak's employer brand and candidate experience to win top tech talent.
• Implement scalable recruiting infrastructure (ATS, tools, processes, AI workflows) and measure hiring metrics.
