Help at Home is seeking a strategic Head of Information Security in Hartford, CT to lead the enterprise security program. You will steer strategy, governance, and risk management across the organization while guiding a team of security professionals and coordinating with IT, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to protect systems and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 12+ years in information security with 3+ years leading teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise security strategy and roadmap with measurable outcomes.
• Oversee governance, risk management, security operations, and metrics.
• Manage relationships with MSSPs and vendors to ensure security controls and SLAs.
• Ensure policy, AI governance, and regulatory alignment (HIPAA, SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS).
• Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Communicate risk and security posture to executives and the board.
