Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Vice President, Facilities Operations to provide strategic leadership and tactical execution across the company’s facilities, including datacenters, infrastructure, and business continuity planning. The role requires directing multi-million dollar budgets, leading cross-functional teams, and partnering with senior leadership to align facilities with growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related area.
• 10+ years’ experience in facilities management, Data Center management, corporate/military engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years’ people management experience, with virtual management preferred.
• P&L responsibility, budgeting and financial model development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement facilities policies, procedures, and organizational structure in line with senior management and policy.
• Develop and monitor short- and long-range business plans to meet profit and growth objectives.
• Oversee Data Center operating budgets and ensure compliance with expenditure requirements.
• Provide leadership to Data Center Directors and other leaders to achieve operational standards.
• Support negotiation of improvement project contracts for owned or leased real estate.
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and maintain licenses and certifications.
• Drive green initiatives and sustainability within facilities programs.
• Participate in acquisition teams to assess potential facilities as needed.
