Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Critical Operations Manager to direct the data center facility strategy, oversee 24/7 operations, and drive continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems.

You will partner with Engineering to support remote hands, energy efficiency initiatives, and customer environments while managing budgets, safety, and compliance. This is an on-site role with extensive leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years workplace or professional experience.
• Five+ years people leadership experience.
• Seven+ years data center environment or equivalent.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain facility policies, procedures, and structure.
• Oversee maintenance, uptime of mechanical/electrical systems and life safety.
• Lead operating and capital budgets and cost controls.
• Coordinate with Sales, Implementation, and Solutions Engineers for customer environments.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety across all operations.
• Conduct tours and audits of data center facilities.
