Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in the United States is seeking a Director, Development (Data Center Construction) to lead customer deployment projects across locations, partnering with Sales, Operations, and Property Development.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure projects meet client objectives and compliance. Travel as needed.

The role requires a decade+ in mission-critical facilities development and a background in construction management or engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with the Property Development team and specialty consultants to support design needs, pricing, approvals, & implementation of deployment scopes.
• Manage the delivery of these projects to align clients’ objectives, processes, vendor strategies, and cross-group collaboration.
• Drive effective client relationship management and cost management to deliver on time and on budget.
• Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals.
