Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in Irving, TX seeks a Vice President of Development to drive data center projects from concept to completion, shaping strategic direction and budgets. You will lead acquisition, design, permitting and construction oversight across the region, partnering with Finance, Sales and Operations to maximize investment and deployment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management, 10+ years in mission-critical facilities, and deep REIT/data center experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of experience within mission critical facilities.
• Experience in the REIT/Data Center industry and with MEP trades.
• Strong leadership, engineering knowledge, and track record for timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead region-wide development efforts across site selection, design, and construction.
• Oversee budgets, schedules and cost estimation for data center deployments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance and Operations to optimize investments and deployment pace.
• Drive master development programs and ensure adherence to time, budget, and quality standards.
