Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Chief Engineer to lead a portfolio of development and production programs. You will manage cost, schedule, and technical performance while growing long-range mission value. The role requires a SECRET security clearance and active leadership across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will guide senior customer interactions, influence roadmaps, and drive continuous improvement in production and export controls. This is an onsite opportunity with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with significant leadership experience.
• Proven track record with capital projects and missile system development/production.
• Experience as a technical leader and in developing work plans.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals across programs.
• Ensure engineering integrity and execution to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Be the primary technical point of contact with senior customers and internal leadership.
• Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps within programs.
• Plan and lead incremental upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive improvement within production and participate in FRACAS and risk management.
• Engage with major subcontractors to ensure product deliverables and support Export/Import compliance.
