Job summary

RTX is seeking an Engineering Director to lead Platform, Production, and Sustainment IPT efforts in Richardson, TX. You will guide cross‑functional teams, ensure systems engineering discipline, and align subsystems with SEIT baselines. Onsite role with security clearances and deep defense expertise.

The position requires DoD clearance, US citizenship, and 12–14+ years in aerospace/defense engineering, including leadership and MBSE familiarity, with substantial programmatic experience.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 12+ years of engineering experience or 14+ years with a advanced degree.
• Experience in systems engineering, integration, verification, or test on defense/aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level technical leadership for Platform, Production, and Sustainment development.
• Mentor and oversee Project Engineers across PPS IPT.
• Lead technical execution for flight deck systems, interiors, and power & controls.
• Ensure requirements development, traceability, and verification planning align with baselines.
• Oversee production transition planning and documentation readiness.
• Identify and resolve integration risks and blockers with cross-functional teams.
• Lead reviews, readiness events, and customer/ government exchanges.
