RTX is seeking an Engineering Section Leader in Tucson, AZ to drive staffing for the Land & Air Defense Systems SE team. You will manage a dynamic group of engineers, coordinate with Talent Acquisition, and shepherd onboarding while advancing requirements for development and production.

The role emphasizes system integration, test experience, and a strong track record in matrix environments. Preferred are advanced degrees and proven leadership across dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in system integration & test.
• Familiarity with Performance Development process.
• Experience in a matrix organizational structure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and align staffing with program needs.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition for postings and interviews.
• Oversee onboarding and tasking for new hires in the department.
• Maintain and improve requirements for development and production.
• Model system and processes using Cameo; participate in failure investigations.
• Conduct trade studies and present results to customers.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues with data analysis.
