Job summary

RTX is seeking a Chief Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead the Precision Fire & Maneuver Office's development and production programs. You will manage cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk across a diverse portfolio, and drive improvements with key subcontractors and partners.

The role focuses on strategic technical leadership, resource planning for multi-million-dollar budgets, and collaboration with DoD and customers to shape roadmaps and program execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams & capital projects.
• Active SECRET U.S. government clearance required.
• Experience interacting with DoD/industry customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a product vision and strategy across programs.
• Ensure technical integrity and execution across IPTs to meet cost, schedule, and performance.
• Lead major technical interfaces with customers and senior leadership.
• Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps and program planning.
• Direct a multi-disciplinary engineering team in projectile development.
