Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee and optimize complex facility systems, including HVAC, electrical and building automation. You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate across shifts, and provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role focuses on operational excellence, preventive maintenance oversight, and escalation support for the Chief Engineer in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in facilities engineering or related role.
• Experience with central plant, HVAC, electrical and controls systems.
• Strong communication and cross-team coordination skills.
• Familiarity with safety programs (LOTO, electrical safety).
• Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily coordination of engineering operations and maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians across shifts.
• Review preventive maintenance and ensure proper work completion and return to service.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Monitor safety requirements and CMMS documentation quality.
