Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead engineering teams and oversee comprehensive building operations for commercial properties in Charlotte, NC. You will drive preventive maintenance, energy management, and capital improvements to optimize performance and cost efficiency.

You will coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders, ensure compliance with codes and safety standards, and mentor staff to maintain a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related technical field is required.
• PE license or equivalent certifications is required with demonstrated expertise in building systems.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and environment regulations for commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams responsible for maintaining complex building systems across assigned portfolio of properties.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, energy management strategies, and capital improvement plans.
• Oversee emergency response procedures and coordinate with authorities during incidents.
• Prepare detailed reports for owners and senior management on performance and improvements.
• Mentor junior staff and promote safety and continuous learning.
