Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences in Salt Lake City is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Chemistry to lead the laboratory team and ensure timely, accurate analyses. You will oversee SOP adherence, coordinate with clients, and drive improvements in data reporting and equipment use.

The role requires a science degree with hands-on microbiology/chemistry knowledge, strong data skills, and experience in a laboratory setting. On-site work with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of microbiology to perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
• Bachelor's degree (or Master’s) with 2–5 years relevant experience required.
• A broad knowledge of microbiology or chemistry, plus food science fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise departmental personnel to ensure SOP compliance and task execution.
• Communicate client requirements to laboratory staff and report progress.
• Read and record analysis data to generate client reports; correct discrepancies.
• Manage HR processes: recruitment, training, appraisal, and records.
• Maintain supplies and instruments; monitor quality system and LIMS training.
