Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Salt Lake City seeks an Operations Manager, Chemistry, to lead food chemistry testing laboratories. You will align method validation, data integrity, and regulatory compliance with business goals, while guiding cross-functional teams and client projects.

Ideal candidates have a chemistry degree (Master preferred), 8+ years in lab operations with 4+ in leadership, and hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years in food chemistry laboratory operations, including 4+ years in leadership.
• Experience overseeing analytical platforms (HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for food chemistry testing laboratories.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity across chemistry disciplines.
• Oversee method validation, verification, and new technology implementation.
• Lead cross-site alignment of chemistry methods, instrumentation, and quality practices.
• Manage instrumentation lifecycle, maintenance, and performance verification.
