Bon Appétit Management Company is seeking a dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead all aspects of operations at a high-profile, chef-driven venue in California. The GM will drive guest experience, revenue growth, event catering, and day-to-day hospitality excellence across front-of-house and kitchen teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of upscale-chef-driven leadership, strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in private dining and events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive restaurant leadership experience, including General Manager or Senior Operations Leader roles.
• Proven success leading upscale casual, chef-driven, hospitality-focused, or event-driven restaurant operations.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets, labor, P&L, forecasting, and operational reporting.
• Experience overseeing private dining, catering, events, or corporate hospitality programs.
• Ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of health dept regs, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Lead all restaurant operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and high hospitality standards.
• Direct and develop front-of-house management and service teams.
• Partner with culinary leadership to coordinate front-of-house and kitchen operations.
• Drive budget, labor, cost controls, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Analyze KPIs and implement operational improvements for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Ensure flawless execution of private dining, events, and corporate hospitality.
• Foster relationships with guests, clients, and stakeholders; maintain visible presence.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, beverage service, cleanliness, and facility appearance.
• Support beverage, wine, and service program development.
• Champion sustainability initiatives aligned with values and guest expectations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
• Collaborate on marketing, promotions, and guest experience initiatives.
