Job summary

Wider Circle in Charlotte, NC seeks a Bilingual Community Engagement Specialist to lead Connect for Life, organize events, and foster neighbor connections that improve health outcomes.

You will conduct in-person home visits, virtual events, and phone outreach, tracking interactions in Wider Circle systems and identifying ambassadors to grow local communities. Fluent English/Spanish, 3+ years in outreach, and relevant education preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• 3+ years in community outreach, teaching, or facilitation
• Associate degree preferred; 5+ years may substitute
• Tech-savvy with web/app systems
• Reliable transportation for home visits

Responsibilities

• Lead Connect For Life program and build trust with members
• Plan and host virtual and in-person events
• Proactively engage members and facilitate monthly engagement
• Record interactions for tracking and reporting
• Identify leaders to serve as Wider Circle Ambassadors
• Outreach to enroll prospective members
• Serve as liaison to health plans and services
• Monitor engagement metrics and report hours remotely
• Conduct in-home visits when needed
