Job summary

Wider Circle in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Bilingual Community Engagement Specialist to lead Connect For Life, a program that connects neighbors for better health and joyful interactions. You will organize events, host gatherings, and conduct outreach to engage members in person and by phone.

You will document interactions in Wider Circle's digital systems, identify community leaders, and expand participation while traveling within a 30–40 mile radius.

Qualifications

• Fluent bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely when needed.
• Experience with community outreach or facilitation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Connect For Life program, utilizing Wider Circle's curriculum to build trust and promote health.
• Plan and host virtual and in-person events to foster member relationships.
• Proactively contact members to ensure participation and conduct home visits as needed.
• Document member interactions and attendance in Wider Circle's digital systems.
• Identify natural leaders and invite them to serve as ambassadors.
• Develop personalized plans to enroll new members in Connect For Life.
• Serve as a liaison connecting members to health plans and services.
• Meet monthly engagement goals and track hours worked in a remote setup.
• Support home canvassing and other location-based needs as required.
