Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique, instrument preparation, and patient safety in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, maintain asepsis, and ensure correct counts of instruments and supplies throughout procedures.

Qualifications include an accredited Surgical Technologist program, NCCT/NBSTSA certification, BLS, and 1–2 years of hospital scrub tech experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program required.
• Certification through NCCT or NBSTSA required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Scrub Tech in a Hospital Setting preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs asepsis, sterile scrubbing, gowning and gloving.
• Assembles supplies according to procedure requirements.
• Sets up sterile instrument table and assists in draping and exposure.
• Anticipates surgeon needs for instruments, sutures and supplies.
• Maintains accurate count of sponges, needles and instruments with circulating nurse.
