Aufgaben

• Performs aseptic surgical scrub, gowning, and gloving.
• Assembles supplies per procedure requirements.
• Sets up sterile instrument table and preps supplies for operation.
• Assists surgeon with instruments, sutures, and supplies.
• Maintains aseptic technique and reports discrepancies.
• Inspects instruments and packages for sterility.
• Participates in Universal Protocol and safety procedures.
• Assists with cleanup and maintenance of sterile field.

Ausbildung

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program

Certification through NCCT or NBSTSA

1-2 years of experience as a Scrub Tech in a Hospital Setting
