Job summary

Requires high school diploma or GED, an associate degree or certification in surgical technology, CPR and BLS, and NBSTSA/NCCT certification; on-the-job training 3–6 months, opportunities for professional development, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have open communication with the surgical team.
• Strong asepsis and sterile technique.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care, preparation, and maintenance of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Maintain the sterile field and support the surgical team.
• Assist in training new staff and students as needed.
• Comply with hospital policies to ensure quality and safety.
• Attend continuing education and maintain required certifications.
