Job summary

Mercy Health Clermont Hospital in Ohio seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role focuses on preparing and providing sterile instruments, supplies and equipment to support the surgical team.

Required education includes an associates degree or cert in Surgical Technology; licensure such as CST/NCCT/NBSTA; BLS preferred. One year perioperative experience is preferred; Mercy Health offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred)
• Must be certified by CST, NBSTA or TS-C (TS-C not accepted in Cincinnati) or NCCT (required)

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation and adapts instruments, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
