Job summary

Mercy Health – Clermont Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operative team by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment while maintaining aseptic technique throughout procedures.

The role requires an Associates Degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, appropriate certifications (CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT) and preferably BLS. One year perioperative experience is preferred; Mercy offers competitive pay, benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology (required)
• BLS certification preferred
• Must be certified by CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT (TS-C acceptance may vary by location)
• One year perioperative or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
