Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for The Jewish Hospital. The role assists the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment to facilitate operative procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology and CST/NCCT/TS-C certification with BLS preferred. One year of perioperative experience is preferred, and candidates will maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
• Certification by CST/ NBSTA/ TS-C or NCCT (required)

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instrument for the procedure.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
• Assists with adapting to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
