Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Richardson, TX seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled PT services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, on a full-time schedule. You will coordinate with a supervising PT and other disciplines to meet individualized goals.

Applicants should have an Associate degree, Texas PTA licensure, and at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics and home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Schedule supervision visits with supervising PT per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address patient goals.
• Plan care to meet PT intervention goals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and industry reading.
• Contribute to the practice's reputation by taking ownership of new tasks.

Requirements

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant
• 6 months full-time clinical experience

• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities include

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the physical therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
