Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed physical therapist to provide pediatric in-home services for children 0–21 in the Plano area. You will assess impairments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The role offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits, supervision of assistants, and a bilingual (Spanish) plus, with Texas licensure required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• License to practice physical therapy in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in patients 0–21 years old in home or daytime facility 2+ times per week.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and instruct team in PT modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training and materials.
• Supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants when applicable.

Requirements:

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
