Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0-21, several times weekly, under physician orders. You will assess impairments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan goals and educate staff and families.

Ideal candidates have pediatric experience, a Texas PT license, and a willingness to work in a home-health setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
  • Texas license to practice physical therapy.
  • Pediatrics experience required; new grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks pediatric OT experience (internship acceptable).
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Spanish bilingual a plus.
  • Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
  • Define degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment using appropriate tests.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals; advise and instruct the team on PT modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of PT interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training, materials, and in-service programs.
  • May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
