Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Frisco, TX seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide pediatric home health services (0-21 years) in patients' homes or daytime facilities, 2+ visits per week as ordered by physicians.

Must hold TX PT license, graduate degree in physical therapy, and prefer pediatric home health experience; bilingual Spanish a plus. Competitive benefits and opportunities for mentorship.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads may have 6 weeks pediatric OT experience (internship).
• Home health experience preferred; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Determine degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Modify care plans to meet PT goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

Requirements:

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
