Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide pediatric home health services to patients from birth to 21 years old. The role involves delivering skilled therapy 2+ times per week in patients’ homes or daytime facilities, following physician orders and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree, Texas PTA licensure, and at least 6 months of clinical experience with pediatrics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Current state of Texas licensure as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant.
• 6 months full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0-21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Schedule supervision visits with supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plan care to meet goals of the physical therapy interventions.
• Update job knowledge by educational opportunities, reading, and professional involvement.
• Enhance PT reputation by taking ownership for new requests and adding value.
