Job summary

Community Health Resources is hiring a Recovery Support Specialist for Heartwood Home in Willimantic, CT. Full-time role, typically Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm with 1 late night and 1 weekend, supporting residents in a structured recovery environment.

Responsibilities include helping clients set recovery goals, conducting assessments, and coordinating with treatment teams. Requires CPSRP or CCAR certification, valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid or equivalent within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Lived experience in recovery from mental health or substance use as required.
• Minimum 2+ years work with identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• CPSRP certification or Recovery Coach CCAR or equivalent; or must obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver's license; CPR and First Aid certification or within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating recovery goals.
• Conduct program assessments and develop person-centered plans.
• Provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Maintain documentation per agency standards.
• Transport clients as required.
