Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our inpatient care team. Under supervision of an OT, you will assist with initial patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for all ages, applying modalities and documenting progress.

You will maintain notes and care records, promote department education, and adapt care for neonatal to geriatric patients. BLS certification is required, and licensure or eligibility must be current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Active or eligible licensure as OTA in state of practice.
• One year experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial assessment on each patient under OT supervision.
• Document course of patient care including progress notes and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatment procedures as directed.
• Maintain progress notes and department records.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of needs across neonatal to geriatric ages.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.
