Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient assessments and implement individualized treatment plans under supervision. You will contribute to documentation, progress notes, and ongoing care in a compassionate team setting.

Responsibilities include administering modalities, maintaining records, and promoting department education while addressing the needs of patients across all ages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• One year experience preferred but new graduates considered.
• BLS certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessment under supervision.
• Document course of patient care, progress notes, and treatment needs.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatment procedures as directed.
• Maintain progress notes and department records for documentation and charges.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific needs across neonatal to geriatric.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
