Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. Under supervision of an occupational therapist, you will assist with initial patient assessments, implement treatment plans, document progress, and support care across neonatal to geriatric ages in accordance with Mercy policies.

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure.
• One year experience preferred but new graduates considered.
• BLS certification must be current before care for patients independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessments under OT supervision.
• Document course of patient care including progress notes.
• Administer modalities, exercises, or treatment procedures per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and departmental records.
