Job summary

CHI Health Clinic in Papillion, NE is seeking a Medical Assistant / CMA to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care at our Midland Family Clinic near Hwy 370 and 84th St.

You will perform general patient care, take vitals, review allergies and medications, collect specimens, prepare medications or vaccines, and support an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role emphasizes patient-first care and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• ABHES/CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program graduate.
• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification or recognition.
• Completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or valid equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greet and prepare patients, record vital signs, review allergies and meds.
• Collect and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare and provide medications and/or vaccines.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the role.

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our Midland Family Clinic off of Hwy 370 & 84th St, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

*Job Requirements**Required:*

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
