Job summary

CHI Health Clinic Lakeside OB Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to join an interdisciplinary team delivering compassionate, high-quality care in obstetrics settings. You will perform general patient care, vital signs, specimen collection, vaccine/medication administration, and coordinate with providers to support patient outcomes.

The role requires ABHES/CAAHEP accredited training, CMA/RMA/NCMA certification, BLS, and completion of a Medication Aide

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES or CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program.
• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification.
• Medication Aide 40-hour course completed.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients, records vital signs, allergies, and medications.
• Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs additional duties within scope as assigned.

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our Lakeside OB Clinic off of 168th & Center, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care and make critical assessments! You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Required

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range
