Job summary

CHI Health Clinic Midland Family Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to join our care team. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform vital sign assessments, and support the clinician in a collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes individualized patient care, accurate documentation, and proactive patient advocacy in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES or CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program.
• Current national CMA/RMA/NCMA certification required.
• Completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greets, prepares and records vitals, meds/allications reviews; documents visit reasons.
• Collect and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepare and provide medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the role.

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our Midland Family Clinic off of Hwy 370 & 84th St, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Expectations

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Pay Range
