Job summary

CHI Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant for the Lakeside OB Clinic at 168th & Center. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform vital signs, prepare patients, collect specimens, and provide medications or vaccines under physician supervision.

The role emphasizes strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and teamwork to support optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited medical assisting program.
• Current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification or recognition.
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or equivalent.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following clinic workflows.
• Greet and prepare patients, record vitals, review allergies and meds, complete screening forms.
• Collect and prep specimens for lab analysis.
• Provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.

Education

ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited MA program

AAMA CMA / RMA / NCMA certification

Medication Aide 40-hour course

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our Lakeside OB Clinic off of 168th & Center, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Expectations:

• Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
• Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
• Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
• Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
• Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
• Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
