Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to deliver specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, and recovery planning in an outpatient setting.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise aides and students, and fabricate orthoses while educating patients on care and precautions. A BS degree is required; a CDT PT/OT and CHT are preferred, with CPR/BLS current.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab/outpatient experience.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control and wound care as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians and other professionals.
