Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, and supervise OT aides in a collaborative clinical setting.

Responsibilities include orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, and interprofessional care planning with hand surgeons and therapists. A Bachelor’s is required; a DPT/OTD is preferred and CHT is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy
• Current state PT or OT license
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapy interventions appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand/upper-extremity orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postop cases.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other clinicians; participate in care planning.
