Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, provide custom splinting, and develop recovery plans in an outpatient setting.

You’ll supervise OTAs and students, fabricate orthoses, and manage post-surgical rehab while collaborating with hand surgeons and clinicians. A Bachelor’s is required; a DPT/OT is preferred and CHT certification is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• DPT or OT Doctorate preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab/outpatient therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish care plans.
• Provide hand/upper-extremity rehab and splinting.
• Document therapy services delivered.
• Direct supervision of OTAs, students and staff.
• Design, fit, and educate on custom orthoses and splints.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab with return-to-work focus.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other clinicians.
