Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks an experienced Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead outpatient hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation. You will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, fabricate custom orthoses, and supervise assistants and students.

Collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists is essential to optimize recovery after orthopedic, traumatic, burn, and postoperative conditions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's and CHT credential, with 3+ years in upper-extremity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity conditions.
