Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead outpatient hand therapy, evaluating patients, designing splints, and developing recovery plans. The role includes supervision of OT staff and collaboration with surgeons and rehab colleagues.

The position emphasizes comprehensive orthotic fabrication, patient education, and thorough documentation, supporting post-surgical and injury rehab and return-to-work goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license and CHT credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plans of care.
• Provide hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehab and orthotic fabrication.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehabilitation cases, including scar management and return-to-work.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other clinicians; part of interdisciplinary care planning.
