Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide advanced hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation in our outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, design splints, and develop individualized recovery plans.

You will collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise staff and students, and contribute to evidence-based care across orthopedic and post-surgical cases. CPR/BLS required, CHT credential preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state PT or OT license
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and condition
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services
• Direct and supervise OT Assistants, students and support personnel
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve and post-surgical conditions
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other professionals; participate in care planning and discussions
