Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder in outpatient settings. The role emphasizes evaluations, custom orthotics, patient education, and coordination with surgical teams.

A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy preferred. At least 3 years of upper-extremity rehab experience is expected, along with CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder rehabilitation
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy/hand therapy services
• Direct and supervise assistants, students, and support personnel
• Design, fabricate, fit, and educate patients on custom orthoses and splints
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals
• Engage in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions
