Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder conditions. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement recovery plans, and design custom orthoses in collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists.

The role requires 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, licensure as PT or OT, and a Doctorate preferred. Outpatient therapy, teaching and mentoring opportunities are part of the position at our

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or OT doctoral degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; manage scars, edema, wounds and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians and other health professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
