Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role involves patient evaluation, custom splinting, and recovery planning in an outpatient setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with a Doctorate preferred in OT or PT, a current state license, and CPR/BLS certification. Minimum 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab with potential for career growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation and outpatient therapy.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
• Current state PT or OT license and CHT credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability of the patient.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
