Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with strong upper-extremity rehabilitation experience to evaluate, plan, and deliver specialized hand and upper-extremity therapy. The role includes custom splint fabrication, wound and scar management, and close collaboration with hand surgeons and other clinicians.

The successful candidate will oversee OT staff, coordinate with orthopedic teams, and contribute to comprehensive post-surgical and injury

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT Assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
