Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans in a hands-on outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include supervising OT staff and students, orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, and collaboration with hand surgeons and other clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care for hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Provide custom orthoses/splints and educate on wear/care.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and therapists in interdiscliplinary care.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions including scar management and edema control.
