Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and oversee custom orthosis fabrication and fitting.

Collaborate with hand surgeons and therapists, supervise assistants and students, and contribute to outcome-driven recovery, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of accredited OT program.
• 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand splints.
• Directs and supervises activities of OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
