Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, and oversee orthotic fabrication and patient education.

Responsibilities include supervising OT staff, collaborating with surgeons and therapists, and managing post-surgical rehab, scar and edema care, and return-to-work rehabilitation as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant health field is required.
• Doctorate in PT or OT is preferred for higher qualifications.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy experience.
• Current state PT or OT license; CHT credential; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation with patient evaluation.
• Develop plans of care and tailor interventions to patient needs.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust orthoses and splints; educate on wear and care.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab cases including scar management and edema control.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
